Stephanie is a native New Yorker from Queens with over a decade of professional piercing experience. Growing up in one of the most culturally diverse places in the world shaped the way she sees people, community, and craft. Dominican and Mexican, she is deeply connected to both her cultures, each rooted in traditions of body art and symbolism that continue to influence her work today. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, she connects with clients across communities with ease.

Her career began in Manhattan and expanded throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, with guest spots in New Jersey, New Orleans, and Brazil. Committed to growth, she has attended numerous national piercing conferences in Las Vegas and two international conferences in Brazil.

Her work has appeared on artists and public figures including Rihanna, Kehlani, Mary J. Blige, Taika Waititi, and others. Regardless of platform, her focus remains the same: precision, integrity, and care. Appointments are filled with real education, laughter, and genuine encouragement. Clients leave informed, confident, and ready for whatever they are walking into next.

Beyond the studio, she has organized scholarship initiatives and community mixers centering piercers of color, and remains active in civic engagement efforts in New York City. She is thoughtful about the brands she carries, prioritizing craftsmanship and integrity in where her clients’ money goes.

After years of clients following her wherever she worked, she created Tau Studio — a private environment designed for connection, confidence, and a truly personal experience from start to finish.
